Local Program Standing Committees

Members of our Local Program Standing Committees (LPSC) play a crucial role in providing valuable feedback on agency services and initiatives. These committees are composed of individuals currently receiving services, family members, community members, agency board members, and UCS agency staff, with a majority of the membership being clients and family members. *25% of the DS LPSC must be clients. The advisory boards advise the agency on performance with the overarching goal of enhancing satisfaction, service quality, and agency responsiveness.

Key Duties of the Local Program Standing Committees:

  • Offering advice to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on the appointment of a new Division Director or the individual responsible for program services.
  • Providing feedback to the CEO and/or the program director on matters related to program management and operations.
  • Reviewing program and agency outcomes, client grievances and appeals, licensing and designation reviews, community stakeholder and client satisfaction survey results, and other relevant data to assess and provide input on service quality and responsiveness.
  • Reviewing and recommending policies that pertain to or influence services in the division or program.
  • Reviewing client complaints, grievances, and appeals resolution to make recommendations on how the agency could improve operations.
